US was a dream job market scene. Employees were happily jumping jobs so much so that the companies made secret illegal pacts not to hire each other's workers. Then the US Iraq war brought in a financial crisis that made jobs precious. Companies fired workers and made everyone who retained their jobs work like slaves always under threat of losing their jobs. Work environments became toxic and most sane people could not keep their jobs. However immigration became easier and the mass exodus of Indian youth began. The young Indians entered the sweatshops thinking they will live their dreams. Meanwhile job security in India disappeared. The easy life of growing old in a job where it was illegal to be fired once hired was gone for good. No wonder there is a pandemic of depression among the young. To become someone who is valued for a skill is a basic need of human beings.
The sad part about Gaza genocide is that the world is forced to side with the bullies. Hardly anyone can even express an opinion without being targeted. The jewish population very well knows how the world looked the other way when they suffered. Throughout thousands of years of history the Jewish people had to depend on someone powerful to protect their interests. In modern times America has played the role of big brother. The truth is neither Palestine nor Israel can survive on their own. That is a shame. So many small countries have existed as sovereign nations forever. The secret is good relations with neighbours. Not a powerful friend in some distant land.
It is true that Israel has a right to exist. For thousands of years now they have tried to build a temple for their God in Jerusalem. Persian kings have helped them time and again. However there is a narative that is missing of the Palestinian people. Honestly, no one is talking about the brutality of Israeli settlers. Everyone talks about Palestinian terrorism. It is clear that it is time for two states to exist. A real border be made with international consensus so that peace can be a reality.
